Community Invited to Take Part
WHAT: In celebration of National Boys & Girls Club Week and their belief in the benefits of a Healthy Lifestyle within their Culture of Wellness Framework, The Three Rivers Unit will join Boys & Girls Clubs nationwide in an attempt to set a Guinness World Record for the MOST PEOPLE EXERCISING TO A FITNESS VIDEO WITHIN 24 HOURS (MULTIPLE VENUES). At the event, each record attempt will begin and end with the official WANNA PLAY? Fitness Video within the designated 24-hour period.

Guinness World Records defines the Most Participants Exercising to a Fitness Video Within 24 Hours record as, “…the greatest number of people exercising to the same fitness video, at events held within a 24-hour period at different venues, which have been set up by the same organization.…”

WHY: BGCA and our partners believe in the benefits of a Healthy Lifestyle and our Culture of Wellness Framework. This attempt to break the world record will bring attention to our commitment to improve the overall fitness of young people by living healthy, active lifestyles. Moreover, the Guinness fitness routines can be used by Clubs to create 5-10 minute activity breaks that can be utilized anywhere in the Club. Incorporating activity breaks throughout the Club helps improve attention span, reduce discipline problems, and improve academic performance and physical wellbeing, thus enhancing the Club’s overall culture of wellness.

WHEN: Friday, March 28, 2014 at 4:00pm. Come cheer us on!
