Mrs. Ruth Thompson Roach age 87 of Ellijay died Sunday March 23, 2014.Mrs. Roach was born June 6,1926 in Marshallville Ga. Peach County the daughter of the late Robert Lee and Ruth Elizabeth Proctor Thompson. She worked as a secretary for Sears and was a member of the Pleasant Grove Baptist Church.
Survivors include: Husband: Alex Roach, daughter and son-in-law: Darlene and Thad Strickland, Savannah, Stepdaughter; Kathy Grimer, Savannah , son and daughter-in-law; Danny and Robin Boaen, Savannah, 6 grandchildren, 2 great-grandchildren also survive.
Funeral services will be held Tuesday at 3pm from the chapel of Bernhardt Funeral Home with Rev. Edmund Miller and Rev. Dan Rosser officiating. Interment will be Thursday in Bonaventure in Savannah.
The family will meet with friends Monday from 6 until 8pm at the funeral home.
