Mr. Raymond Crook age 86 of Ellijay, GA died Tuesday April 1, 2014.
Mr. Crook was born March 15, 1928 in Gilmer County to the late Henry and Vester Burgess Crook. He was of the Baptist Faith and an US Army Veteran serving in Korea where he was awarded a Purple Heart and 2 Bronze Stars. Mr. Crook is preceded in death by his wife, Pauline Matthews Crook, brother, Eldridge Crook, sisters, Ozal Henson and Audrey Mayfield.
Survivors Include: Sons Ronnie, Donnie and Barry Crook, all of Ellijay; Brother Grady Crook, Ellijay; Sisters Dorothy Fox, Ball Ground, GA, Louise Willbanks, Sharpburg, GA; 1 Granddaughter; Shanese Crook, 7 Step Grandchildren; 8 Great Grandchildren
Funeral Services will be held Friday April 4th at 2pm from the Chapel of Bernhardt Funeral Home with Rev. Kenny Bailey officiating.
Interment will follow in the Jerusalem Baptist Church Cemetery with Military Rites by the North GA Honor Guard.
The family will receive friends Thursday April 3rd from 12pm until 9pm at the funeral home.
