Willard Allen : Obituary

Mr. Willard Allen, age 80 of Blairsville, Georgia formerly of Ellijay died on Monday, May 12, 2014, at the Union County Nursing HomeBorn June 16, 1933 in Ellijay, Georgia, he was the son of the late Lonzo Allen and the late Myrtle Evans Allen. Mr. Allen was a member of the Flat Branch Baptist Church and worked as a tree trimmer. He is preceded in death by his wife,Hazel Harper Allen, sisters, Estella, Hollis, and Gladys Allen, brothers, Grady, Sidney, Wayne and William Allen.

Mr. Allen is survived by his brother, Rev. Hill Allen of Chatsworth, GA, special cousins, Helen Davis of Blairsville, GA and Benetta Smith of Ellijay, GA. Several nieces, nephews and cousins also survive.

A Funeral service will be at 2:00 PM on Tuesday May 13th, 2014 at the Logan Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Russell Hood officiating. Music and singing will be performed by Irene Wofford. Interment will be in Flat Branch Baptist Church Cemetery with Bill Butts, Ronnie Davis, Travis Butts, Lisa Davis, Matthew Stiles and Ronnie Dunn serving as pallbearers.

The family will receive friends from 6:00 PM to 9:00 PM on Monday, May 12, 2014, at Logan Funeral Home, 357 Dalton Street, Ellijay, Georgia.
