Lois Teague Tyre : Obituary

Lois Teague Tyre, 71 of Jesup, Ga. died Thursday, June 5, 2014 after an extended illness and under the care of Heartland Hospice.The Ellijay, Ga. native had lived in Wayne County, Ga. the past 46 years and was a member of Anderson Drive Baptist Church. She worked for many years as a sales lady with The Alcove and Winn Dixie Foods. Lois was always warm and friendly with those she helped and was predeceased by her sister, Winston Finley.

Survivors are her husband of 51 years, Robert L. “Bob” Tyre of Jesup, Ga.; a son, Chris D. Tyre of Jesup, Ga.; 4 sisters and brothers-in-law, Joan and Larry Watkins, Gail and Wallace Anderson, both of Ellijay, Ga., Ernestine and Roy Waters of Chatsworth, Ga.; two brothers, Wendell Teague of Ellijay, Ga. and Randall Teague of Vonore, Tenn.; several nieces and nephews.

Graveside funeral services will be 10 A.M. Saturday, June 7, 2014 at George Cemetery with Rev. John Brown officiating. Visitation will be 6 to 8 P.M. Friday, June 6, 2014 at the funeral home.
