Mary Waddell : Obituary

Mrs. Mary Leah McFarland Waddell, age 84 of Ellijay, Georgia passed from this life on Friday, June 13, 2014, at the Gilmer Nursing Home in Ellijay. Mrs. Waddell was born on June 29, 1929 in Copperhill, Tennessee to her late parents John Wesley McFarland and Della Leah Martin Mcfarland. She was a member of East Ellijay Baptist Church and was employed by J & C Cotton Mill, Davenport Hosiery, Robert Shaw Industries and last by Hamilton Memorial Hosptial in Dalton, GA as a data processor. Mary is preceded in death by her husband James P. Waddell and son Lanier Waddell.

Mrs. Waddell is survived by her sons and daughters-in-law, Neil Waddell and Linda Gregory of Ellijay, GA, Travis R. and Gail Waddell of Powder Springs, GA, and Anne Marshall Waddell of Gainesville, GA; Grandchildren, Kaitlyn Waddell, Paige Waddell, Jody Waddell, Devon Waddell, Leisa Hardage, Richard Waddell, and Tony Campbell; Great grandchildren, Autumn Nicole Ledford, Hayden Waddell, Kell Waddell, and Rhya Waddell; Great great grandchild, Ashten Waddell also survives.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM on Sunday, June 15th from the Logan Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Edward Ledford officiating. Music and vocals will be performed by Betty Ledford and Regina Morgan. Graveside interment will follow in the Ebenezer Baptist Church Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Devon Waddell, Richard Waddell, Jody Waddell, Joseph Waddell, Hayden Waddell, and Kell Waddell.

Family will receive friends on Saturday, June 14th, 2014 from 2:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m at Logan Funeral Home and Chapel.
