Nena Pritchett : Obituary

Mrs. Nena Barnes Pritchett, age 85 of Ellijay, Georgia passed from this life on Sunday, June 22, 2014, at her residence.She was a member of the Mountaintown Baptist Church. Nena was born January 8, 1929 in Ellijay, Georgia to her late parents Cleve A. Barnes and Lillie Corbin Barnes. She was a retiree of Wright’s Tool and Forge in Barberton, Ohio. She was an avid gardener. Nena is preceded in death by daughter Kathie Pritchett Taffin, sisters Verna B. Waddell, Edna Crook, Mary Ruth Chastain and brothers Spurgeon, Morris and Earl Barnes.

Survivors include husband of 68 years, Buford Pritchett of the home in Ellijay, son and daughter-in-law Roger & Kim Pritchett of Exton, PA.; grandchildren David Taffin, Matthew Pritchett, Lindsay Pritchett, Daniel Pritchett; great grandchildren Joshua, Nathan, and David Taffin, Erin Pritchett, Chase & Emily Pritchett; sisters and brother-in-law, Bernice Barnes of Ellijay, GA.; Ollie & Charlie Sales of Ellijay, GA.; sisters-in-law Helen Barnes and Wanda P. Barnes both of Ellijay

A Funeral service will be at 2:00 PM on Thursday, June 26th, 2014 from the Logan Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. George Barnett officiating. Music and singing will be by the Mountaintown Baptist Church Choir. Graveside Interment will follow in the Mountaintown Baptist Church Cemetery,

The family will receive friends from 4:00 PM to 9:00 PM on Wednesday, June 25, 2014, at the Logan Funeral Home,
