Mrs. Verdie Mae Cook, age 82, of Okemah Ct., Ellijay died Monday August 4, 2014.Mrs. Cook was born May 31, 1932 in Alabama, the daughter of the late George and Pearlie Campbell Hornby. She was a homemaker.

Survivors include: Husband: Kenneth Cook, son and daughter –in-law: Ken and Judy Cook, Ellijay, daughter: Julia Cook, New Orleans, LA, 3 grandchildren, 3 great-grandchildren also survive.

Graveside services will be held Saturday August 9, 2014 at 2:00pm from the Godby Cemetery in College Park. The family will receive friends Friday from 5 until 8pm at the funeral home.
