Mrs. Evelyn Banforth Pearce, age 88 of the Coosawattee community, Ellijay, Georgia passed on Sunday, August 24, 2014, at her residence.Mrs. Pearce was born December 18, 1925 in Selby, Yorkshire, England. She graduated Leeds High School, Class of 1943. She worked for many years as a book keeper and finished her career as a security guard for Dallas Fort Worth Airport Security.
She is survived by her husband of 61 years, Douglas E. Pearce of the home in Ellijay, GA; Daughter and son-in-law, Carol and Kyle Lucas of Fort Worth, Texas; Son and daughter-in-law, Keith and Jane Amy Pearce of Alpharetta, GA; Grandchildren, Natasha Pearce and Alexander Pearce.
A memorial service will be at 1:00 PM on Saturday, August 30th, 2014 from the Logan Funeral Home Chapel.
The family will receive friends following the service at the Logan Funeral Home Chapel.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Gilmer County Library, 268 Calvin Jackson Drive, Ellijay, GA 30540 in memory of Mrs. Pearce.
