Marilyn Joy Bailey, age 73, of Talking Rock, Georgia, passed away peacefully Sunday, October 7, 2012, in Green Valley, Arizona. Born July 24, 1939, in Endwell, New York, the daughter of the late John H. and Edith D. (Edwards) Brain, she was preceded by her loving husband, William T. Bailey.
Marilyn is survived by daughter Kimberly Tompkins of Green Valley, AZ, son Scott McNeal of Flagstaff, AZ, his wife Lara, and grandchildren Tyler and Elise, her aunt Madge Edwards Williams, uncles Donald Edwards and Wayne (Anita) Edwards.
She attended the Arnot Ogden School of Nursing, and touched many lives throughout her nursing career. A member of the Ellijay First United Methodist Church and Red Hat Society, Marilyn enjoyed being outdoors, working in her garden, feeding and watching birds, and spending time with friends and family. All who knew her and were touched by her heart and kindness will miss the laughter.
Graveside services will be held Saturday September 13th at 1pm from the Yukon Cemetery.
A Celebration of Life will be held Sunday September 28th in Green Valley, Arizona.
Memorial gifts may be sent to the American Cancer Society or Vitas Hospice.
