The Master Gardeners will be teaching another amazing class on gardening. This class will focus on how to split and multiply your plants. Refreshments will be provided by the Friend of the Gilmer County Library.

Bilbo Baggins’ Birthday Celebration

Everyone knows Hobbits love to party and eat 4, 5, or 6 times every day. We thought we should join in the fun too. Ages 10-18 are invited to celebrate Bilbo Baggins’ birthday with Hobbit trivia, a scavenger hunt, and of course cake.

Bring your brown bag lunch, needles and yarn to the Gilmer County Library. Lauren Cape and Lynda Decker will be your host and teacher. Already know how to knit, come for the fun! If you are unable to attend a meeting, come when you can, you don’t have to be at every class. If knitting, bring #8 needles and yarn of any color. If crocheting, bring G or H hooks and Peaches & Cream cotton yarn of any color.

Overstock Sale! We have a few too many paperbacks to put on our usual shelves so for a brief time, while the surplus lasts, regular paperback books on the Last Chance cart are 5/$1.00. Take advantage and stock up on fun reads for those winter evenings.
Don’t forget to pick up a stash of magazines for road trips, a true bargain at $.25 each. Magazines are displayed on the rack outside the Bookshelf and in the non-fiction “back room” as well. Bookshelf hours are from 10:30-5:00 on weekdays and from noon-2:00 on Saturdays. Location and Contact Information
