For every kind of beast and bird, of reptile and sea creature, can be tamed and has been tamed by mankind, but no human being can tame the tongue.” James 3:5-8.Lord Jesus, the taming of our tongues is beyond human ability. It can start fires in families, churches, schools, businesses, and anywhere humans relate to others. It can cause evil to prevail in one’s sphere of influence and is a tool of Satan for destruction of relationships.
We are reminded that you taught your disciples that it is what comes out of a man that pollutes life. Our world today is filled with vulgar and corrupt talk. It even breaches the holy and considers nothing sacred.
Tame our tongues by taming our hearts by your grace. This is the only way to keep us from thinking and speaking with untamed language.
