Daily Prayer: 09/17/2014

“But no human can tame the tongue. It is a restless evil, full of deadly poison. With it we bless our Lord and Father, and with it we curse people who are made in the likeness of God. From the same mouth come blessing and cursing. My brothers, these things ought not to be so.” James 3:8-10.O God Our Father, you have made us in your image and because of this you value the dignity of every human being. You don’t want us to curse that which you have made. It is not in your desire that blessing and cursing should come from the same mouth. It does us no good to bless you and curse others for even the blessing is not acceptable.

If this person who thinks on these thoughts has been damaged by the words of parents, or a spouse, or someone else, help this person to see that it comes from a heart not being right with you. Give great grace to rise above this through Christ, our Lord.

Amen
