Evelyn Chapman Oliver, age 83 of Cherry Log, Georgia passed on Tuesday, September 30, 2014, at her residence in Cherry Log, Georgia. She was a member of the Boardtown Church of Christ, born April 6, 1931 to her late parents Robert Fields Chapman and Lucy Emaline Cornwell Chapman in Cherry Log, Georgia. Mrs Oliver was a graduate of Ellijay High School Class of 1947. She is preceded in death by husband Charles Eugene Oliver; daughter Sandy Oliver; sisters Jeanette Chapman, Violet Chapman Ward, Jewell Chapman Tidwell, Nellie Chapman Holloway, and Essa Chapman Holloway.
Survivors include daughters and sons-in-law, Louise and Mike Benner of Cherry Log, GA and Lucille and Brad Collins of Ellijay, GA; son Charles E. Oliver , Jr. of Cherry Log; grandchildren and spouses, Sarah Patrick Graney, Sean and Alyssa Benner, Aaron Benner, Rachel Benner, Alex and Samantha Collins, Katie Collins; great grandchild Lylah Collins; brothers and sisters-in-law, David Wendell and Minnie Chapman of Cherry Log, GA and Floyd and Peggy Chapman of Morganton, GA.
Funeral service will be held at 3:00 PM on Friday, October 3rd, 2014 from the Boardtown Church of Christ with Min. David Mullins and Min. Jere Via officiating. Graveside interment will follow in the Boardtown Church of Christ Cemetery,
