The Enemy of the Straight Gate

The Church is far too familiar with a God we barely know! Because we fail to invest the time it takes to really get to know Him.
We are also too familiar with a devil that we don’t know at all, and yet he is the biggest enemy of the Church, God’s people. He is, to most of us just the pitchfork guy.

Listen now. Satan is the stumbling block on the way to the straight gate. He tries to block the road that leads to heaven. We need to understand how to keep the way clear by having good defense.

I don’t want to talk too much about the ugly devil, but I do want to share with you what the Lord wants me to share.

I am an eye witness of his evil, wicked ways. I am sent with the following message;

I had three personal visits from the devil that the Lord wants me to share, and I believe the time is now; this is the hour.

This is, so help me God, the absolute truth. My life with the Lord Jesus rest on it. I will be sharing these visits with you over the next 3-4 weeks

1. The three greatest tools that Satan can use against us.

2. I will show you the demon world, the structure and order of how they work and, of course, how to beat him.

3. My visit from the devil in a motel room.

I went to a motel to fast and pray for three days. The devil talked to me for eleven hrs. All lies. I thought I was talking to the Lord. I even called that thing, Lord. I caught him in a lie. I will share the story later. I will share number three later as we move along.

I had just gotten saved. I never thought about there being a real devil. I was put in the room with a person, and watched the devil possess them right before my eyes. He totally changed their body features, even the color of their eyes. I will share about this later.

About two years ago, I preached some of this message over my radio program. I called it, “The Doctrine of Demons”. In general, the devil said to me, if you do this message,” Doctrine of Demons” you will receive great damage. Fear came over me for a minute, and then I rebuked him and preached it. He hates to be exposed, and he knows I know him as nothing but a liar.

Let me assure you up front that you can beat him every time, but you must understand defense, and I find that most people don’t.

Never fear him. He fears you when you show him your God side. He cannot blind side you: he cannot touch blood washed children; He must deceive you first, then he can step into the territory that you’ve given him.

In the days of Jesus, you could always recognize a possessed person. The devil had free reign, because there was not a sinless person upon the earth to cast him out. Jesus was sinless and beat him in the wilderness, and went about casting out devils.

Today any Christians, filled with the Holy Spirit, have the power to cast out demons, because he is a child of God, washed in the blood of Jesus. I have cast out demons many times.

The devil knows this, so he doesn’t reveal himself. He only functions through the power of the lie. If you remember, the demon possessed girl followed Paul for days before he discerned the demon. Do you see how quickly the devil changed tactics? She kept saying,” These men are the servants of the Most High God, who show you the way of salvation.” She was sent to distract Paul. Many of us today would probably be fooled by her and, buy her book.

I have, for quite some time now, been concerned about the Church; especially the young people. I am a Christian counselor, and have been very heavily involved with broken, hurting people. I have worked with jail and prison ministries, as well as people out of rehabs, out of halfway houses, or out of messed up lives.

This is what I am able to take away from it all; somehow the church is missing it big time. I have worked with many, many who were in church through twelve years of school, and after school most of them, but not all, just seem to drift away. Many of our twelve year church kids are now in jail, in prison or in homosexual lifestyles. They’re having babies without marriage, and the divorce rate is about the same as that of the world. There are many abortions in the church family. Church kids, by the thousands are getting strung out on drugs and alcohol.

I have met them in jails or rehab centers. When you ask them if they know Jesus, their answer is,” oh yes, my dad is a preacher or maybe a deacon, or I was raised in the church. I ask if they have the Holy Spirit and the answer is oh yes, got all that when I got saved. Well then, I ask, why have they locked you away in this place to control your life? Let’s talk about this.

In almost all cases, I can spend a couple of hours with them and do more with them, than the church did in twelve years; even if they have been through Awanas as well as summer camps every year. Here is the bottom line.

They have no real concept of the power of God that’s available for them today. Question! Were they ever taught it, and did they ever see it?

They have never been taught how to defend themselves, or to defeat or to beat the devil that is out to destroy their lives. They were never properly prepared for the fight. Most never knew there would be a fight. I then just try to open there eyes to all the word of God.

The church can have them for twelve years; the devil can deceive them, and take them out in twelve days, or twelve hours, or maybe even twelve minutes.

I have been a good, southern Baptist boy now for forty one years. I love the Church. I find very little wrong with it. In fact, I can’t think of anything that we are doing wrong.

So I want to talk to you about a problem called, just not enough; the world is full of old and young people that have been through the Church system, and have fallen by the wayside. There may be more of them than of us.

The world system just seems to gobble them up. It looks bigger and better to them than what they got out of the Church.

They missed the essence of faith. They never understood the love of God or the works of faith by love. They seem to be short of both. They did not see the complete picture of our wonderful savior, Christ Jesus.

They missed the power for living today in this big, bad, ugly world.

John 14:30 Jesus said:”Satan is the prince of this world” today’s Ruler, just check out the TV, you will see his work very clearly.

2Cor2:4 He is called the god of this world. The word says he has blinded their minds, but most do not understand this.

John 15:19 Jesus said:”We are not of this world”. Satan rules, so vote differently vote no when it comes to sin. Don’t listen to Satan.

In Col. It says, Father God has delivered us from the power of darkness, and hath translated us into the kingdom of his dear. Son. Thank you sweet, Lord Jesus, thank you wonderful, Father. (I will continue this message in a couple of days.)
