Ellijay, Ga – At the October 20th, 2014 Gilmer County Board of Education called meeting School Superintendent Jason Kouns released the annual board training schedule. Kouns, along with other board members, stated that adequate training for the board had been absent for a long time. In efforts to help maintain their accreditation from SACS, Kouns has put together a schedule of conferences, retreats, and other training sessions that board members will be able to attend.
Each retreat, conference, and training session is designed to better equip the board to be able to responsibly and effectively perform the duties required of them.
