Mr. George Green: Obituary

Mr. George Green age 78 of Old Hwy 5 South, Ellijay, GA died Friday October 24, 2014. Mr. Green was born February 4, 1936 to the late Charlie and Flora Lambert Green. He was a poultry farmer, a member of the Liberty Baptist Church and Chairman of Board for North Georgia Medical Center. He is preceded in death by his parents, sisters, Estelle Smith and Catherine Humphries, brothers, Charles, Willie and Clyde Green.

Survivors Include: wife, Joyce Green, of the home; son, Greg Green, Ellijay, GA; daughters and sons in-law, Mitzi and Danny Beaver, Chatsworth, GA, Cyndi and Mike Green, Calhoun, GA and Donna Sweat, Dahlonega, GA; brother, Gary Green, Chatsworth, GA; sisters, Ruth Mayfield, Dalton, GA and Jewell Davis, Ellijay, GA; 7 grandchildren and spouce, Krissi and Bill Martin, Jaylen Sweat, Hailey Green, Jared Sweat, Seth Green, Kelley Hartshorn and Rebecca Huntsman; great grandchildren, Brayden Conn, Cade Huntsman, Drew Huntsman, Kara Hartshorn and Allie Huntsman; several nieces and nephews also survive.

Funeral Services will be held Monday October 27th at 3pm from the Liberty Baptist Church with Rev. Edmund Miller, Rev. Jerry Banks, Rev. Russell Hood and Rev. David Nicholson officiating. Interment will follow in the Liberty Baptist Church Cemetery.

The family will receive friends Sunday October 26th from 3pm until 9pm at the Bernhardt Funeral Home.
