Mr. Gene Richard Carlisle, age 62 of Cherrylog, Georgia passed on Thursday, November 6, 2014, at his residence. Carlisle was born on November 11th, 1951 to Edward W. and Frankie Louise Carney Carlisle in Atlanta, GA. Gene worked as a nurse at Fannin Regional Hospital’s emergency room for 40+ years. This was his true passion and joy in life. He took great pride in his work and had a heart for everyone that came through the door.

He is survived by his daughters and son-in-law, Kayla and Richard Esparza of Dawsonville, GA and Haley Louise Carlisle of Ellijay, GA; Grandson, Bryant O’Neal Carlisle of Ellijay, GA; Brother, Michael “Mike” Carlisle of AL; 2 Nieces: Several aunts, great nieces and great nephews also survive.

A Celebration of Life service will be held from 11am until 2pm on Sunday, November 16th, 2014 at the Cherry Log Community Clubhouse, located at 341 Cherry Log Street, Cherry Log, GA 30522.

In leiu of flowers the family requests that memorial contributions be made to the Fannin Regional Hospital Auxillary, 2855 Old Hwy 5, Blue Ridge, GA 30513.
