Have you participated in our Facebook 101 class or opened an account but still not real sure about posting to your Timeline? Our staff will be available to help you with posting, editing, etc. of your content. Please contact the library to register and an active Facebook account is required.

Teen Knit and Crochet

Learn the basics or if you already know how to knit or crochet, come work on a project with us – bring our own knitting needles or crochet hook and yarn. Ages 12 years and up.

Teen Coding

Are you interested in learning the basics of understanding and writing code in Blocky, Python, and others? Stop in and check out the fun. We are using www.code.org tutorials

Storytime – Thanksgiving Feast

Come and listen to Mrs. Judy as she recounts this delicious tale of the Thanksgiving Feast. Right after the story, we always have craft time. All ages are welcome. Those under 9 require adult accompaniment, please.

Adult Lunch and Learn Knitting & Crocheting
Wednesdays @ 12:00 PM – 2:00 PM

Bring your brown bag lunch, needles and yarn to the Gilmer County Library. Lauren Cape and Lynda Decker will be your host and teacher. Already know how to knit, come for the fun! If you are unable to attend a meeting, come when you can, you don’t have to be at every class. If knitting, bring #8 needles and yarn of any color. If crocheting, bring G or H hooks and Peaches & Cream cotton yarn of any color.

The Friends of the Library Bookshelf
The Bookshelf has a great collection of unusual Civil War books this week at bargain prices. You’ll find these gems on the top shelf of the first “Last Chance” cart.

Please remember to donate your gently read magazines to the Bookshelf and pick up some others for yourself. We have magazines about everything from gardening to hot rods and all bargains at just $.25 each.

Bookshelf hours are from 10:30-5:00 on weekdays and from noon-2:00 on Saturdays.
