Mr. J.T. Dale: Obituary

Mr. J.T. Dale, age 75, of Boardtown RD, Ellijay, died Monday December 22, 2014. Mr. Dale was born December 21, 1939 in Gilmer County the son of the late Grady Henry and Gladys Mary Gibson Dale. He was of the Baptist Faith and retired from the Gilmer County Sheriff’s Department, after beginning his career in 1956, at the time of his death he was owner of Dale’s Bee Supply and Dale’s Variety Store.

Survivors include: Wife; Mazie Thomas Dale, daughters and sons-in-law: Dixie and Mitchell Stanley, Ellijay, Brenda and Blue Patterson, Ellijay, step-children; Lisa Quinn, Blue Ridge, Linda Jones, Morganton, Junior Bell, Epworth, Lynn Bell, Blairsville, mother of his children Bertha Davidson, Ellijay, sisters and brother-in-law: Sue Thurman, Linda and Butch Rogers all of Ellijay, several grandchildren and great-grandchildren, 1 special great grandchild and little partner Melenie Padgett.

Funeral services will be held Saturday December 27, 2014 at 2:00pm from the Flat Branch Baptist Church with Rev. Franklin Harper and Brother Pat Shelton officiating. Interment will be in the church cemetery.

The family will meet with friends Friday from 2 until 9:00 pm at the funeral home.
