Mr. Ken Godfrey age 80 of Ellijay, GA died Wednesday December 24, 2014. Mr. Godfrey was born November 8, 1934 in Pickens County to the late Ernest Preston and Rosa Wheeler Godfrey. He was a member of the Pleasant Valley Church and worked for Kopf Leasing as a trucking agent. He is preceded in death by his parents, son Hank Lamar Godfrey and daughter, Lorie Ann Sheffield.

Survivors Include: wife, Laguna Godfrey, of the home; sons, Matthew Godfrey, Ellijay and Joey Edwards, Ellijay; daughter and son in-law, Connie and Kenneth Lowman, Dawsonville; brothers, Gene Godfrey, Ellijay, Benard Godfrey, Jasper, and Melvin Godfrey, Talking Rock; sisters, Lois Wright, Francis Burgess and Edith Chastain, all of Ellijay; 5 grandchildren; 5 great grandchildren.

Funeral Services will be held Sunday December 28th at 3pm from the Pleasant Valley Baptist Church with Rev. Billy Cantrell and Rev. Matt Godfrey officiating. Interment will follow in the church cemetery.

The family will receive friends Saturday December 27th from 3pm until 9pm at the funeral home
