Mr. Carlton F. Hardy, age 73 of the Big Creek Community Ellijay, Georgia died on Tuesday, December 30, 2014, at his residence.Born July 7, 1941 in Meridian, Mississippi, he was the son of the late R.C. Hardy and Mildred Henson Hardy. He was a member of The Baptist Faith and retired as a truck driver in the transportation industry. Mr. Hardy is preceded in death by his wife Betty S. Hardy.

He is survived by his daughters and son-in-law, Hollyanna and Scott White of McCaysville, GA and Carla Faye Johnson of Blue Ridge, GA., son, Michael Carlton Hardy of Ellijay, GA, step-son and daughter-in-law, Frank and Dawn Sturdivant of Sparta, NC, grandchildren, Jonathan White, Jennifer White, Britani Johnson and Andrew Johnson, great grandchildren, Madison White and Caleb Babb.

A Memorial service will be at 3:00 PM on Thursday January 1st, 2015 at the Logan Funeral Home Pavilion with the Rev. Larry Stover officiating. Memorial contributions may be sent to American Cancer Society 300 W. Emery Street Suite 106 Dalton, GA 30720 in memory of Mr. Hardy.
