Daily Prayer: January 20, 2015

Psalm 42:2 “My soul thirsteth for God, for the living God.”As the deer is chased through the forest by the pursuer and breathlessly comes to a clear, flowing stream, so do we flee from the things that pursue us, our Father. We now pause to quench our soul’s thirst before the river of life flowing clear as crystal before us.

There is a longing deep in our hearts to know You better. Would You take the water of life and place it upon the parched, thirsty souls of those who are seeking You. If the life of this person who reads this prayer is withered with spiritual drought, cause Them showers of blessings to fall on this one: through Christ our Lord.

Amen.
