On January 14, 2015 the Gilmer Chamber of Commerce held a ribbon cutting for the The 1907 Restaurant & Bar located at 24 River Street, downtown Ellijay. Following the ribbon cutting, their grand opening hosted a large amount of guests to sample menu items. Owner, Wayne Sloop stated that The 1907 plans to source local ingredients for their menu items.
