DAWSON, Ga — The 7th grade Clear Creek Middle School bobcats showed that they may have what it takes to take home the championship trophy for the end of season tournament on Friday night by dominating their rival the dragons.The first quarter proved to be a hard fought defensive battle between both teams and although the bobcats dominated the offensive boards they couldn’t get anything to fall, ending the first quarter with the low score of 2-3 in favor of the bobcats.

However, the second quarter fell largely in favor of the bobcats who began a full court press that caused several turnovers leading to transition buckets, pushing the bobcats lead over the dragons to 4-13 to end the half.

The third and fourth quarters didn’t look much different for the bobcats who continued to press and capitalize on turnovers as they would stretch their lead to 4-21 to end the third and then add 8 more in the fourth to end the ball game with the final score of 8-29.
