Mr. Robert “Bob” Hadden, Jr., age 63 of the Turniptown community Ellijay, Georgia passed on Friday morning, January 30th, 2015, at his residence.Born July 21, 1951 in Sandersville, Georgia, he was the son of the late Robert Hadden, Sr. and the late Claire Lovvorn Hadden. Mr. Hadden was a graduate of North Springs High School in Atlanta, received his bachelor’s degree from North Georgia College and continued on at the University of Georgia where he received his Master’s degree. He was a member of the Pi Kappa Phi fraternity and a lifelong avid Georgia Bulldog fan. Following school he was self employed as a real estate broker for Century 21 here in Ellijay. Mr. Hadden was involved with the local Gilmer Rotary Club and the Boy Scouts of America and was a member of First United Methodist Church of Ellijay.

He is survived by his wife, Melinda Holloway Hadden of Ellijay, GA, son, Al Hadden of Ellijay, GA, daughters and sons-in-law, Jennifer Hadden Moses and Michael Moses of Denver, CO, Samantha and Jacob Callihan of Ellijay, GA; Grandchildren, Alex, Mason and Kailyn Hadden, Kylie and Douglas Lane Callihan; Brother, Henry L. Hadden of Lawrenceville, GA; sister and brother-in-law, RaeAnne Hadden and James Wishon of Ellijay, GA; sister-in-law and brother-in-law, Vicki and Ronnie Thompson of Ellijay, GA; Nieces, Jessi Thompson, Macy Wishon and Rachel Ann Hadden; Nephew and in-law, Heath and Kristen Thompson.

A Funeral service is scheduled for 2:00 PM on Sunday, Febrary 1st, 2015 at the First United Methodist Church of Ellijay with Dr. Danny Barton and Min. Butch Jones officiating. A private family interment will follow in the Ellijay City Cemetery.

The family will receive friends from 2:00 PM to 8:00 PM on Saturday, January 31, 2015, at the Logan Funeral Home.
