FROM THE DESK OF THE SHERIFF FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE: Monday, February 9, 2015 @ 11:00 a.m.:
FYN has updated the story with a press release from the North Georgia Medical Center:Gilmer County Sheriff Stacy Nicholson releases the following information:
On Friday, February 6, 2015 at approximately 8:00 pm, Gilmer County Sheriff’s Office detectives arrested JEFFERY MARK DUNN, age 48, in Cherokee County, Georgia. This arrest is pursuant to a very complex investigation involving the alleged theft of approximately $1 million from North Georgia Medical Center over a period of two years. Dunn, the former CEO of North Georgia Medical Center, has been charged with 21 counts of Theft by Deception, and at the time of this press release, is still being held at the Gilmer County Detention Center on a $50,000 bond.
Even though detectives are concentrating their efforts on the more blatant egregious allegations, we anticipate this investigation will be ongoing for some time.
FYN will have more information once it is made available.
