Mr. Melvin Easley age 76 of Ellijay, GA died Monday February 16, 2015. Mr. Easley was born November 5, 1938 in Gilmer County to the late Ray and Myrtle Tilley Easley. He was of the Baptist Faith and worked for World Carpet as a hyster mechanic.

Survivors Include: wife, Rose Griffin Easley, of the home; son, Michael Ray Easley, Ellijay, GA; daughter and son in-law, Vera and Michael Sales, Ellijay, GA; brothers, Bob Easley, Ellijay, GA and Vernon Sales, Chatsworth, GA; sister, Frances Vick, Ellijay, GA; grandchildren and spouses, Matthew and Hannah Sales, Troy and Brittany Parks; great grandchildren, Hayden Rose Sales and Kollin Charles Parks; several nieces and nephews also survive.

Funeral Services will be held Thursday February 19th at 3pm from the Chapel of Bernhardt Funeral Home with Rev. Curtis Easley officiating. Music will be by Hannah Sales. Pallbearers will be Tony Easley, Stephen Craig, Tracy Easley, Matthew Sales, Kyle Easley, Troy Parks and Ronald Vick. Interment will follow in the Sunlight Baptist Church Cemetery.

The family will receive friends Wednesday February 18th from 5pm until 9pm at the funeral home.
