Mr. Charles E. Sanford age 74 of Ellijay, GA died Wednesday February 18, 2015. Mr. Sanford was born September 20, 1940 in Gilmer County, son of the late Thomas R. and Della Shelton Sanford. He worked a machinist for Lockheed and was a member of the Pleasant Grove Baptist Church. He is preceded in death by his parents, brothers, Jimmy, Luther, Paul and Morris Sanford.
Survivors Include: wife, Edna Sales Sanford; son and daughter in-law, Scott and Therena Sanford, Carnesville, GA; brother and sisters in-law, Cecil and Lillie Sanford, Eulene Sanford and Mattie Sanford Morris, all of Ellijay, GA; 9 grandchildren; 5 great grandchildren.
Funeral Services will be held Saturday February 21st at 3pm from the Chapel of Bernhardt Funeral Home with Rev. Christian Burton officiating. Interment will follow in the Pleasant Grove Baptist Church Cemetery. Music will be by Irene Wofford. Pallbearers will be Randy Sanford, Trent Sanford, Kent Sanford, Ricky Sanford, Emuel Sanford, Cory Sanford, Chris Ralston, Codie Hart and Barry Sanford.
The family will receive friends Friday February 20th from 2pm until 9pm at the funeral home.
