Luke 4:36 “All the people were amazed and said to each other…With authority and power he gives orders to evil spirits and they come out!” O You Great Jehovah, You gave to Your Son, Jesus, the authority and power over the realm of evil that pervades this world. Give us eyes to see and wisdom to discern the demonic activity all around us. There are people who are possessed by alcohol, drugs, pornography, greed, lust, hatred, pride and many other human weaknesses. To the natural eye these things simply look like human failures. But to the spiritual perception they are clearly demonic oppression.
Father, You have the power to set people free if they have a personal relationship with You through Jesus. Satan has made the world believe that he does not exist and that only uninformed people would believe in this demonic control of life. But we reject his tactic and call it what it is. Grant this person who meditates now on these thoughts the ability to see clearly the promise of deliverance in Christ.
