Daily Prayer – March 04, 2015

John 21:22 “Jesus saith unto him, if I will that he tarry till I come, what is that to thee: follow thou Me.”Dear Father, so often do we concern ourselves with what others are doing that we tend to base our faithfulness to you on what they do. Forgive us for such rationalization when we say “I’m as good as he is.” Teach us that we are not to measure our righteousness by other people, but only after our Saviour.

Grant that we may follow Jesus irrespective of what our friends do simply because we love Him and want to obey Him. Give us strength to stand on our own spiritual feet in the strength of Christ.

Amen.
