Mr. John Curtis Hughes: Obituary

Mr. John Curtis Hughes age 67 of Ellijay, GA died Saturday March 28, 2015. Mr. Hughes was born November 20, 1947 in Fannin County, son of the late Rev. Verlin and Jeanette Raper Hughes. He was a Gilmer High School Graduate Class of 1966 and a member of the Pleasant Valley Baptist Church. Mr. Hughes is preceded in death by his parents.

Survivors Include: son and daughter in-law, Bobby and Amy Hughes, of Cohutta, GA; daughter and son in-law, Melissa and Brian Garrett, of Ellijay, GA; brother, Ken Hughes, of Oxford, GA; sisters, Mary Helen Stover, of Ellijay, GA and Louise Raynor, of Las Vegas, NV; 1 granddaughter, Brook Hughes; several nieces and nephews also survive.

Funeral Services will Friday April 3rd at 2pm from the Riverhill Baptist Church with Rev. Edwin Land officiating. Interment will follow in the church cemetery.

The family will receive friends Thursday April 2nd from 3pm until 9pm at the funeral home.

Bernhardt Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
