Mr. Roy R. Stephens age 79 of Flat Branch Rd Ellijay died Tuesday March 31, 2015. Mr. Stephens was born June 9, 1935 in Benton, TN the son of the late John and Dorothy Fain Stephens. He was owner of Stephens Construction, a member of the First Baptist Church and served in the US Army.

Survivors include: Wife, Jerri Reece Stephens, children; Todd and Vickie Stephens both of Ellijay, sister, Johynne McEver, Kennesaw, grandson, Josh Stephens, great-grandchildren, Jackson and Bentley Stephens.

Funeral services will be held Thursday at 4:00pm from the chapel of Bernhardt Funeral Home with Minister Butch Jones and Brother Keith Reece officiating. Interment will be in the Yukon cemetery.

The family will meet with friends Wednesday from 3 until 9 pm at the funeral home.

In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the National Breast Cancer Foundation 2600 Network Blvd., Suite 300 Frisco, Texas 75034 in memory of Mr. Stephens.
