Daily Prayer: 04/10

Luke 7:23 “Blessed is the man who does not fall away on account of me.” Jesus Our Lord, you have said that there are great blessings for those who are not offended and who do not fall away because of you. It is difficult to understand how anyone could be offended in you. But we know that many who do not understand your ways accuse you of being insensitive to human need and want you to change the way you work in the world today. Everything will be set right one day – but not yet. Every corrupt ruler will bow at you feet – but not yet. Every injustice will be corrected. Every stain of sin upon the earth will be removed – but not yet.

Every broken heart can be mended. Every estranged family can be reunited. Every personal soul need can be met – all of this by your grace today. But the things that make the masses doubt will have to wait a while.

Help this person who now prays not to be disillusioned by the expanse of present day human suffering for you are still working on individual hearts.
