Dr. Sonny James Grogan: Obituary

Dr. Sonny James Grogan age 64 of Blue Ridge, GA died suddenly on the ninth hole of Whitepath Golf Course doing what he loved with his friends on Tuesday April 7, 2015. Dr. Grogan was born May 22, 1950 in Forsyth County, son of the late, Loy and Ruby Floyd Grogan. He was a chiropractor and the owner of Ellijay Chiropractic. He once said he would like to be remembered as someone who laughed and who cared. He was a loving husband, dad, papa (Oh, how he loved being a papa ), brother, uncle, mentor, friend and doctor. He was happiest when he was giving and helping others. Just as you wished, those of us who miss you immensely remember your laughter, your love and your care you gave so generously.

Survivors Include: wife, Lori Grogan, Blue Ridge, GA; daughter, Olesia Pelfrey, Epworth, GA; sisters, Patricia Gignilliat (Earl), Cumming, GA, and Peggy Anderson (Larry), Cumming, GA; sisters in-law and brother in-law, Carol Vertefueille, Niceville, FL, and Ronnie Mitchell (Sandy), Palm Coast, FL; grandchildren, Abbey and Lily Pelfrey; several nieces and nephews also survive.

Funeral Services will be held Friday April 10th at 11am from the Chapel of Bernhardt Funeral Home with Rev. Jamie Dotson officiating. The family will receive friends Thursday April 9th from 5pm until 9pm at the funeral home.
