Patricia Loggins Grunkemeyer of the Walnut Mountain community, Ellijay, Georgia passed on Wednesday morning, April 15, 2015, at her residence.Patricia was born January 23, 1946 in Marietta, GA to her late parents Kinney Merlin Loggins and Alma Elizabeth Samuels Loggins. She graduated from Marietta High School and attended Xavier University in Cincinnati, OH. Patricia enjoyed both art and nature, and became passionate about providing both practical advice and emotional support to others who suffered from bladder cancer. Patricia is survived by her husband of 34 years, Joe Grunkemeyer of the home in Ellijay, GA; sisters and brothers-in-law, Leneva and Allen Meadows of Temple, GA and Sandra and Michael Hanna of Ellijay, GA; Niece and spouse, Tricia and Matt Rountree of Villa Rica, GA; Nephews and spouse, Jim and Lesley Anderson of Loveland, Co, Bryan Henderson of Freeport, IL, and Jeremy henderson of Acworth, GA.
A Celebration of Patricia’s life will be held at 3pm on Sunday, April 19th, 2015 from the Chapel of Logan Funeral Home with Rev. Alan Tarr officiating. A reception will immediately follow the service at the funeral home.
The family will recieve friends from 2pm until the service hour at Logan Funeral Home.
