Gilmer County, GA ­ On Thursday May 14, 2015 the Gilmer County Board of Education approved a proposal submitted by the Christian Learning Center (CLC) to begin serving a class for Gilmer Middle School 6th Graders.Director Jennifer Colson has stated this pilot program is hopefully just the beginning. Should this class prove successful, they will hopefully lead into more services for the middle school including the possibility for extra teachers or even a separate campus. Director Colson has said she pursued this class in response to a community request for their presence in this stressful time of young people’s lives.
She has made clear her desire to serve the community and with a continued support from the community she hopes to take the CLC forward in its services in the years to come.
