Mrs. Adel McArthur Roper age 68 of Ball Ground died Friday May 15, 2015. Mrs. Roper was born February 1, 1947 in Pickens County the daughter of the late Decatur and Montree Coffey McArthur. She worked in housekeeping at Big Canoe and was a member of the Yellow Creek Baptist Church. She is preceded in death by her parents, grandson Bryce Roper and several siblings.
Survivors include Husband: Frank Roper, Son: Frankie Dean Roper, Marble Hill, Daughter: Dawn Michelle Smith, Ball Ground, grandchildren, Brittany Hensley, Emerald Goble, Amber Smith, great grandchildren, Braylee Hensley, Elly Hensley, Trystan Goble, Toccoa Dawn Goble, Brothers: Fariest and Jack McArthur, Talking Rock, several nieces and nephews also survive.
Funeral services will be held Monday at 2:00pm from the chapel of Bernhardt Funeral Home with Rev. Robert Allen and Rev. Huey Holloway officiating. Interment will be in the Pleasant Valley Baptist Church cemetery.
The family will meet with friends Saturday from 5 until 9pm and all day Sunday till 9pm at the funeral home.
