Daily Prayer: 05/31

Matthew 5:8 “Blessed are the pure in heart, for they will see God.”

O God, search our motives and help us to be pure in heart. We do not want to be controlled by selfish ambition. Sin must not be harbored in our hearts for there is no place for it in the cleansed mind. We want to serve in your kingdom with purity of purpose.

We thank you for the happiness that comes when all accounts between us and you and us and others are settled. There is freedom from anxiety which gives a blessed peace.

Only when we are spiritually prepared can we truly see you. We can see your hand at work in the world, your presence among your people, the revelation of yourself in your word, and your guidance in our lives.
