Bids were received by the Board of Education on June 8th for Maintenance-Transportation’s Operations.
An Invitation to Bid (ITB) Evaluation Committee was made up of seven members including:
Dr. Charles Webb, Interim Superintendent
Steve Pope, Transportation Manager
Trina Penland, Director of Finance
Bob Sosebee, Director of Operations
John Westbrook, Supervisor of Fleet Maintenance
Samantha Rutledge, Routing Specialist
John Call, Director of Technology
This committee brought recommendations to the Board to award bid contracts to Petroleum Traders for the Fuel Supply, Cherry Log Petroleum for Motor Oil, Transmission Fluid, and Antifreeze, Appalachian Propane for Propane Fuel, and Clark’s Towing for Towing Services. These bids offer individual prices for several operations.
They were two other operations for bids. However, the Evaluation Committee Recommended the Board reject all bids for Automotive Filters and Automotive Batteries due to lack of competitive pricing.
Interim Superintendent Dr. Charles Webb should be recommending these awards to the Board for action at a called meeting on Thursday, June 11 at 5:00p.
Check below for the full report and individual prices as presented in the Board Meeting on June 8, 2015.
