Mrs. Catherine Reece Taylor, age 87, of Arden, NC, died Friday July 24, 2015.
Mrs. Taylor was born August 29, 1927 in Gilmer County Ga the daughter of the late Arthur and Dester Burrell Reece. She graduated from Gilmer High School, North Georgia College and was a member of the Biltmore Baptist Church in Asheville, NC. She is preceded in death by her parents, husband Henry Taylor and siblings, Hoke, Everett and Howard Reece, Sadie Reece Bryan, Christine Reece Garland and Frankie Mae Reece Ellis.
Survivors include: Son and daughter-in-law- Sam and Jane Taylor, Murphy, NC, daughter: Terri Levi, Athens, Ga, brother and sister–in-law: Hollis and Lorene Reece, Ellijay, sister and brother-in-law: Ernestine and Carl Clark, Ellijay, sister-in-law: Artis Reece, Ellijay , brother-in-law: Roy Bryan, Ellijay,grandchildren, Steven Levi and Robert Clayton Taylor several nieces and nephews also survive.
Funeral services will be held Monday July 27, 2015 at 2:00pm from the chapel of Bernhardt Funeral Home Rev. Edmund Miller and Rev. Daniel Hyatt officiating. Interment to follow in Oak Hill United Methodist Church cemetery.
The family will meet with friends Sunday from 5 until 8 pm at the funeral home.
