Mary Beatrice Newton: Obituary

Mrs. Mary Beatrice Newton age 77 of Cherry Log, GA died Saturday August 15, 2015.

Mrs. Newton was born June 6, 1938 in Gilmer County, daughter of the late, Lonnie and Ida Whitener Allen. She was a member of the Rock Creek Baptist Church. She is preceded in death by her parents; and her brother, Junior Allen.

Survivors Include: husband, Herbert Newton, of Cherry Log, GA; Son and girl friend, Wayne Newton and Kathy Nichelson, of Cherry Log, GA; daughter and son in-law, Tammy and Terry Ramsey, of Cherry Log, GA; sister, Sarah Cledith Allen, of Cherry Log, GA; 5 grandchildren and spouses, Jennifer and Michael Pack, of Epworth, GA, Cristin and Matthew Taylor, of Turtle Town, TN, Dana and Josh Fountain, of Cherry Log, GA, Brooks Newton and Paul Zografos, of Sydney, Australia, Stephanie Trantham, of Cherry Log, GA; 11 great grandchildren.

Funeral Services will be held Monday August 17th at 2pm from the Chapel of Bernhardt Funeral Home with Rev. Jerry Stover officiating. Interment will follow in the Underwood Cemetery.

The family will receive friends Sunday August 16th from 5pm until 9pm at the funeral home
