Betty Jean Turner, age 80, of Talking Rock, GA died Saturday August 22, 2015.
Ms. Turner was born March 18, 1935 to the late Jesse and Pearl Teem Garland. She worked in the manufacturing industry and was a member of the Flat Creek Baptist Church.
Survivors include: son, Cord and daughter-in-law Amy Turner of Hiram, GA, son, Tim and daughter-in-law Dianna Turner of Talking Rock, daughter, Teresa and husband Wade Butler of Douglasville, GA, four grandchildren; Shantain Thomas, Lauren Turner, Micah Butler and wife Trina, Matt Butler and wife Leah. Ten great grandchildren: Abby, Issac & Rachel Thomas, Ethan, Emma,& Claire Butler, Lincoln, Anna, Lola & Alyssa Butler, brother; Charles and wife Dorris Garland of Blue Ridge, sister Christine Stover of Ellijay, sister Charlene Byrd of Ellijay, sister Brenda and husband Coy Richards of Ellijay, brother, Howard and wife Joan Garland of Ellijay, brother Ben and wife Maryanne Garland of Talking Rock, brother, Rex and wife Linda Garland of Ellijay.
Funeral services will be held Monday August 24, 2015, at 4:00pm from the chapel of Bernhardt Funeral Home with Rev. Tommy Sanford and Brother Tony Crump officiating. Interment will be in the Flat Creek Baptist Church cemetery.
The family will meet with friends Monday from 1:00pm until the service hour at the funeral home.
