Daily Prayer 08/23

“Finally, brothers, whatever is true, whatever is honorable, whatever is just, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is commendable, if there is any excellence, if there is anything worthy of praise, think about these things.” Philippians 4:8.

Lord Jesus, you have given us a new way of thinking about life. You want us to think on the things that are right in your sight, true according to the scriptures, honorable among people, just in relationships, pure in character, lovely in life, and all of the higher levels of thought and study.

Some may read these admonitions and say, “Get real!” But this is real for the growing soul. This thought process is very different from the popular mind today, but you have transformed our lives by the renewing of our minds. You have promised peace for those whose minds are stayed on you. We claim this for ourselves.
