Roy Lee Dobbs, age 45 of Ellijay, Georgia passed from this life on Tuesday, August 25, 2015. He was born September 8, 1969 in Eustis, Florida to his parents Blanch Marie Davis and James Leonard Dobbs. Roy was a member of Pleasant Grove Baptist Church and was employed with Gold Kist Poultry. He is preceded in death by his father James Dobbs and brother Johnny Dobbs.
Survivors include son, Christopher Fowler of Ellijay, GA,; mother Blanch Davis Range of Ellijay, GA.; brother, Scotty Dobbs of Ellijay, GA, and sister, Cathy Diane Johnson of Ellijay, GA.
Funeral service will be held at 4:00 PM, Monday, August 31, 2015 from the Logan Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Pat Shelton officiating. Interment will follow in the Pleasant Grove Baptist Church Cemetery, Pallbearers will be Cody Pettijohn, Michael Davis, Daniel Cantrell, Jesse Farist, Franklin Eaton, Robert Nicholson, Daniel Elrod, Roy Beavers and Billy Thomas.
The family will receive friends from 12:00 noon until 4:00 PM, Monday, August 31, 2015, at the Logan Funeral Home.
