James Paul Ellis: Obituary

James Paul Ellis, age 84 of Ellijay, Georgia passed from this life on Wednesday, August 26, 2015, Mr. Ellis was a member of Ebenezer Baptist Church, born Tuesday, July 7, 1931 in Barberton, Ohio, he was the son of the late Hobert Ellis and the late Eliza Clark Ellis. Mr. Ellis served his country honorably in the U.S. Army during the Korean War. He was employed as a manager with Mosley Tractor. He is preceded in death by wife Dale Henson Ellis, sister Pearl Ellis McPherson, sisters in law Mildred H Mosley,and Sue H. Medlin, brothers in law Leonard Henson, Brent Mosley and Ebb Medlin.

Surviviors include brother, Jene Ellis of Akron, OH.; nieces Elizabeth Ann Davis, Fostina M. Barrerra, JoAnna Nichols, Cheryl Ellis; Nephews Harold Henson, Tim Mosley, Jonathan Mosley, Johnny Henson, and Fred Ellis, all of Ellijay, GA.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM, Saturday August 22, 2015 from the Logan Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Emmett Burgess, and Rev. Russell Burt officiating. Music and vocals will be by the Ebenezer Baptist Church Choir. A military graveside service will immediately follow in the Logan Funeral Home Pavilion with military honors performed by the North Georgia Honor Guard. Graveside Interment will be in the Turniptown Baptist Church Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Mack Aaron, Harold O’Dell, Bill Aaron, Roy Clark, Harold Henson, Johnny Henson, Tim Mosley and John Mosley.

The family will receive friends from 4:00 PM to 9:00 PM on Friday, August 28, 2015, at Logan Funeral Home.
