Maudie Cantrell: Obituary

Mrs. Maudie Cantrell age 98 of Ellijay, GA passed Tuesday October 13, 2015.

Mrs. Cantrell was born August 5, 1917 in Gilmer County, daughter of the late Edward and Mae Rogers Chapman. She was a member of the Riverhill Baptist Church. Mrs. Cantrell is preceded in death by her husband, Leslie Cantrell and her son, Morgan Cantrell.

She is survived by, sons and daughters in-law, Rev. Billy and Linda Cantrell, David and Tena Cantrell, all of Ellijay, GA; daughter and son in-law, Joy and Stan Childress, of Ellijay, GA; sisters, Ella Weaver, of Ellijay, GA and Ora Belle Tyson, of Mortons Gap, KY; 5 grandchildren; 7 great grandchildren; 1 great great grandchild; several nieces and nephews also survive.

Funeral Services will be held Friday October 16th at 2pm from the Chapel of Bernhardt Funeral Home with Rev. Max Padgett and Rev. Wallace Parks officiating. Interment will follow in the Scrougetown Church Cemetery.

The family will receive friends Thursday October 15th from 3pm until 9pm at the funeral home.
