Cleveland “Slim” Reed: Obituary

Mr. Cleveland “Slim” Reed, age 73 of Ellijay, GA died Tuesday October 20, 2015.

Mr. Reed was born November 9, 1942 in Dawson County, son of the late Isaac and Imogene McClure Reed. He was a member of Amicalola Baptist Church and worked for Reece Logging as a truck driver. He is preceded in death by his parents; wife, Georgia Reed; brothers, Herman and Tommy Reed.

Survivors include: brother, Huey Reed, of Ellijay, GA; sisters, Melba Edwards, of Dawsonville, GA, Daisey Poole, of Ellijay, GA, Betty Sue Reed, of Ellijay, GA and Mildred Emory, of Talking Rock, GA; several nieces and nephews also survive.

Funeral Services will be held Friday October 23rd at 2pm from the Chapel of Bernhardt Funeral Home with Rev. Randy Cloer and Rev. Russell Burt officiating. Interment will follow in the Riverhill Baptist Church Cemetery.

The family will receive friends Thursday October 22nd from 4pm until 8pm at the funeral home.
