Mr. James Winston Newton: Obituary

Mr. James Winston Newton, age 76, of Ellijay, died Thursday November 12, 2015.
Mr. Newton was born July 6, 1939 in Gilmer County the son of the late Jimmy and Oma Hollifield Newton. He worked in the textile industry,was a Mason and was of the Baptist Faith.

Survivors include his wife; Maudine Dotson Newton, sons and daughters-in-laws;  Keith and Jean Newton, Eric Newton, Chad and Holly Newton all of Ellijay,  daughter; Nadine Starks, Ellijay, brother; Grady Newton, Chatsworth, Sister; Ethel  Henderson, Ellijay, 5 grandchildren Sabre Christian, Shay Nelson, Santanya  Beasley,  Kaula, Moore, Levi Newton,2 step-grandchildren, Landon Bryan and Sadie  Bryan ,4  great-grandchildren, Logan Beasley, Lucas Beasley, Anzley Moore and Eli Moore, loving sister-in-law; Bernadine Hensley,Ellijay, several nieces , nephews and other relatives and friends also survive.

Funeral services will be held Sunday at 2:00pm from the Crossroads Baptist Church with the Rev. Allan Tarr and Rev. Lamar Beason officiating. Interment will be in the church cemetery.
The family will meet with friends Saturday from 4 until 9pm at the funeral home.
