Mrs. Elizabeth M. Clayton: Obituary

Mrs. Elizabeth M. Clayton age 89 of Ellijay died Friday November 20, 2015.

Mrs. Clayton was born December 12, 1925 in Gilmer County the daughter of the late  John Morgan and Mary Ethel Stover Mooney. She was a homemaker and member  of the Ebenezer Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her parents and  husband Rev. A J. Clayton.

Survivors include: Children and spouses; Lloyd and Lucille Clayton, Buford, Lana and Roy Carder, Buford, Larry and Lorene Clayton, Ellijay, Rev. Jerry and Charlene Clayton, Ellijay, Brenda and Steve King, Buford, 12 grandchildren, 2 step-grandchildren, 8 great-grandchildren, 3 step-great grandchildren and several relatives and friends.

Funeral services will be held Sunday November 22, 2015 at 12noon from the Ebenezer Baptist church with Rev. Russell Burt, Rev. Billy Cantrell, Rev. Cecil Ash, and Rev. Jerry Clayton officiating. Interment will be in the church cemetery.

Flowers are accepted or donations may be made to the Ebenezer Baptist Church cemetery fund at 170 Dogwood RD Ellijay, GA 30536 in memory of Mrs. Clayton.

The family will meet with friends from 11am until 9pm Saturday.
